About Recess
Reese Stradley, the multi-genre DJ, known as Recess, was born in Music City, Nashville, TN. as "Reese S" began to discover the deeper reaches of dance music, and the evolving artistry of djing, there was a never ending attraction to the vibes and community within. Growing up in a city known for it's live music, the goal was to spread energetic beats and melodies of dance and it's messages in a way it could flow with the growing energy of Broadway and Nashville. Recess learned to fine tune his craft and expand his performances after beginning his career with supporting electronic artists such as Dotcom, Kennedy Jones, Party Thieves, Riot Ten. This would evolve into also supporting hip hop artists Waka Flaka and Ludacris, then eventually streamlined hard for a mix of electronic and live music showcase and support sets. These sets would grow to include performances alongside Kaskade, Meduza, The Chainsmokers, Dubvision, Acraze, Deejay Silver, Vavo, Dave Grohl, Lainey Wilson, Chris Young, Breland, Jimmie Allen, and lan Munsick. Reese has also partnered with exceptional brands such as Crown Royal, Lone River, The NFL, Crucial Catch, CMA Fest, and The Nashville Predators, Since 2018, For the last 6 years, Recess has performed weekly sets continuously for the fans and supporters of all music in the heart of Music City Downtown, Nashville, while also frequently touring the US.
